Karen HemmingsKaren is the principal of Therapy Training School and a workshop organiser. She has trained over 1,000 therapists around the world and delivered numerous workshops for the NHS & other healthcare organisations. Karen delivers Tai Chi, Qigong and Chakra Balancing workshops and retreats.
Karl HemmingsKarl is a healing therapist and also the Marketing Manager for Therapy Training School. He has over 20 years of experience in delivering life transforming therapies and self-empowerment workshops. Karl delivers Yoga and Relaxation workshops & retreats.
Gloria ThomasGloria Thomas is a practitioner in contemporary psychotherapy with a passion for personal development, health & well-being. She is a Master Practitioner in NLP, an advanced Hypnotherapist & Thought Field Therapist (TFT).

If you are new to the holistic health scene and would like to offer experiential workshops to your staff or work colleagues then our Off-the-Peg 1 day workshops are an ideal solution. Our workshops follow a tried and trusted format which allows participants ample time to learn the associated skills and have lots of fun.
Workshops can be arranged at a venue of your choosing for between 4 - 20 participants.

Costs for 1 day workshops
Costs differ depending upon participant numbers and location. Costs include instruction and workshop materials but do not include venue hire or refreshments.
Cost guide:
4 participants in the UK from £500 per day
20 participants in the UK from £1,250 per day
4 participants overseas from £750 per day (excluding airfares, hotel etc)
20 participants overseas from £1,750 per day (excluding airfare, hotel etc)

Residential workshops
We can also arrange residential workshops in the UK and overseas that allow participants to focus upon a skill-set over a number of days. These can be weekends or even longer in duration if required.
1 day Tai Chi workshop
Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art, which combines relaxation and exercise in a series of continuous, flowing movements. Helping to cultivate a feeling of calmness, it is unsurprisingly often referred to as 'yoga in motion'. A moving meditation and a powerful key to relaxation, Tai Chi helps with focus and concentration.
Tai Chi is one of the best exercises for people of all ages and those who practice it gain a healthy body and an alert mind.
This 1 day workshop offers participants an opportunity to both experience and better understand the application of Tai Chi. It can also be a pre-cursor to receiving regular instruction for those who wish to study Tai Chi in greater detail.
This workshop is delivered by Karen Hemmings the founder member of Therapy Training School.

1 day Qigong workshop
Qigong, (Chi Kung) is an ancient Chinese energy cultivation technique. Its aim is to stimulate and balance the flow of chi, or "vital energy" through the body. Using easy-to-follow combinations of controlled breathing, focused concentration and simple movements the Qigong exercises help to remove blocks and increase the flow of energy through your body. When it flows free, Chi energy heals and restores the body.
With Qigong you will be required to gently move and stretch the body, so loose comfortable clothing is a must. Natural fibres such as cotton or linen are recommended. Your workshop leader will guide you through some of the simple physical movements and advise you on best posture. You will be introduced to breathing techniques and guided meditation exercises to deepen relaxation and promote healing.

1 day Yoga workshop
Yoga was developed in India over 5000 years ago and is now practiced all around the world, by people of all ages. It is a system which combines physical stretching movements with breathing exercises and meditation techniques which can help bring balance to body, mind and spirit. Yoga aspires to bring you to a state of complete physical and mental well-being.
We teach many different styles of yoga including Hatha, Vini, Ashtanga, Kundalini and many other related systems.
Anyone can take part in our Yoga tuition or workshops; all ages and levels of fitness. Learn to use yoga for relaxation, improving your general health, weight loss and flexibility, through to combating depression and insomnia.

1 day Chakra Balancing workshop
The Chakras as cone-shaped vortices within the body, located within our energy system, which collect energy from the world around us and direct that energy in and around our physical body and all of our subtle bodies.
Our Chakra Balancing workshop helps you to interact with your 7 main Chakras which are often referred to simply as 'The Chakras'. During the course of this 1 day workshop you will learn how to recognise imbalance in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.
You will participate with breathing exercises, guided meditations and visualisations to help you establish a healthy vibration in each of the Chakras. Regular practice of these skills after the workshop will enable you to maintain a cleared, balanced and energised Chakra system leading to an enduring experience of health, happiness and well-being.
