Question: What qualification do I get from Therapy Training School?
Answer: Upon sucessful completion of any of our Therapist Training Courses, all students are awarded a Diploma.
Question: Are the training courses recognised by a professional body?
Answer: All our therapist training courses are fully accredited by the Guild of Holistic Therapists, The Guild of Beauty Therapists and the INHA (International Natural Healers Association).
Question: What does my Diploma entitle me to do?
Answer: The Diploma allows the student to practice the therapy professionally, though they must source their own insurance before being able to have referrals made to them by Therapy Training School. The Diploma and course work do not qualify students to teach the therapy themselves.
Question: Where can I obtain insurance to practice where relevant?
Answer: Information on insurance options is available on the website. As we are constantly researching the most comprehensive cover offered at the least expensive price, please e-mail us for the most up-to-date information on insurance cover if you do not see an option which is suitable for you.
Question: Do I need to have any previous experience before doing any of the training courses?
Answer: There is no need to have any previous experience before attending a course at Therapy Training School. All courses include supervised hands-on practice of all relevant techniques, from the point of view of the recipient and the therapist.
Question: Do I need to have any qualification(s) before doing any of the courses?
Answer: There is no need to have any previous qualification before attending a course at Therapy Training School. Complementary therapy courses (e.g.: at local colleges) which span weeks or months often include a separate qualification in Anatomy and Physiology. All complementary therapist courses at Therapy Training School include an illustrated, annotated course workbook which offers reference material in the anatomy and physiology of the specific areas dealt with in each course.
Question: Do I need to have insurance before doing any of the courses?
Answer: There is no need to have insurance cover in place to learn a complementary therapy, only to practice it professionally. If you wish to practice professionally it is necessary to have insurance in place. This will allow you to have referrals made to you by Therapy Training School if you wish.
Question: Can Therapy Training School courses be added to my existing insurance cover?
Answer: This depends on your insurance provider. Complementary therapy organisations often offer their own insurance policies to members. If you are already insured with an organisation it is wise to ask them if their cover can extend to include our courses.
Question: What do I need to bring along to a training course?
Answer: Please check your guidance notes for on-site training for this information.
Question: Are there any contra-indications for attending or participating in any of the Therapy Training School Training Courses?
Answer: Please check the contra-indications information document - on the Terms and Conditions for Training.
Question: What can I do if I need to cancel my booking or reschedule my training date?
Answer: Please see the Terms and Conditions document for available options.
Question: What can I do if I have any questions after the course is complete?
Answer: Students who have completed a course at Therapy Training School can ask questions or offer comments via e-mail after the course is complete. At present this is a free facility.
Question: Do I need to complete case studies after the course is finished?
Answer: Because there is ample time on the day for each student to give and receive a supervised therapy there is no need to complete case studies.
Students are advised to compile case studies for their own benefit. Copies of these can be sent to us for evaluation and feedback as students begin to practice their therapy. At present this is a free service.
Question: It is not convenient for me to travel very often. How can I do further studies?
Answer: There is the option to do many of our courses as Distance Learning Courses. Please see our website for the most up-to-date listing of available courses.
