How does Home Learning Work?A step by step guide
1. Purchase the course of your choice (With a debit or credit card over the telephone, online using PayPal or with a cheque via post).
2. Decide if you would like to receive the course content electronically via email (for you to view on your computer or print at home) or a printed version sent to you in the post.
3. Download and print your study guidelines and test papers document from our website.
4. We then recommend that you read all of the course materials from start to finish.
5. Then take each module in order and answer the related questions. You can choose to complete the questions online or you can complete the printed version of the test papers by hand.
6. Once you have completed all questions you then submit your test paper.
7. Choose a friend or family member to conduct a case study upon and practice the therapy, taking appropriate notes and completing your case study sheets and client form. When you are finished these should be submitted for marking.
8. Your distance learning course will usually be marked within 7-10 days (sometimes sooner).
9. You will be notified either by email or post of your result. If you have passed you will receive your Diploma (normally within 1 week of notification of success). If you have failed you may resubmit the test and try again.
10. Remember that you can take as long as you like to complete the course.
11. There is no limit to the number of times that you can re-submit your test papers.

Questions and answers about this course
How does home learning differ from an attendance course?
During an on-site (attendance) course you will be instructed on techniques. You will be supervised and assessed as you both give and receive a full treatment. There is a short written test and upon successful completion your diploma will be awarded at the end of the day.
A home learning course offers you the opportunity to study the techniques at home using the course manual and access to the online videos of techniques with help and advice as required via email. A test and case study are required and your diploma is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
Can I practice professionally with this Diploma Course?
Yes. Once you have been awarded your Diploma as proof of training and qualification you should then obtain professional insurance allowing you to practice as a therapist.
Is this course accredited?
Yes. Courses are accredited by The Guild of Holistic Therapists & Beauty Therapists as well as The International Natural Healers Association. Accreditation means that our course content has been appraised by external professional therapy associations and has been approved for professional therapy training purposes.
Can I get insurance after doing a distance learning course?
Yes. Read further information >
Do I need an Anatomy & Physiology Qualification to do this course?
No you don't. We cover all relevant aspects of anatomy and physiology which are specific to each training course.
What are CPD points?
CPD is an abbreviation for Continuous Professional Development. Sometimes if you are a member of a professional therapy organisation you need to undertake regular training to upkeep your membership. This most often works on a points system with different numbers of points awarded for different courses.
