Qigong Tuition and Workshops

Qigong, (Chi Kung) is an ancient Chinese energy cultivation technique. Its aim is to stimulate and balance the flow of chi, or "vital energy" through the body. Using easy-to-follow combinations of controlled breathing, focused concentration, and simple movements Qigong exercises help to remove blocks and increase the flow of energy through your body. When it flows free, Chi energy heals and restores the body.

With Qigong you will be required to gently move and stretch the body, so loose comfortable clothing is a must. Natural fibres such as cotton or linen are recommended. At your first class your instructor will guide you through some of the simple physical movements and advise on best posture. You will be introduced to breathing techniques and guided meditation exercises to deepen relaxation and promote healing.

Qigong Solo Tuition

Tuition costs £25 per 1 hour lesson

There are many different styles of Qigong and also many different exercises. In one-to-one qigong tuition at Therapy Training School it is the movements of Tai Chi Qigong which are explored and practised with the accent on the requirements of the individual.

With one-to-one tuition you can learn how to design your own practice routine, learn more about your own body and how to maintain its health by using the most appropriate exercises and breathing routines for your lifestyle.

We can bring special attention toward your own individual development and shift our focus in any direction that you might feel appropriate.

If you want to get the most out of your Qigong practice and are keen to progress at your own pace then one-to-one tuition is certainly the way to go. This is especially recommended if you have any specific ailment(s) that you want to address or areas you would like to strengthen.

Associated topics may also be mentioned such as: Chakra Balancing, Reiki, Chanting, Meditation, Visualisation and Energy Work.

Solo tuition is offered in one-hour classes and may be booked for any weekday by arrangement. The first appointment time in the morning is 10.00am and the last is 6.00pm.

Qigong 1 day Workshops (CPD points awarded)

From £75 in Midlands and from £95 in London

Many of the fundamental principles that underpin the theory and practice of Qigong are introduced and explored during a one-day workshop. After some gentle stretching and warm-up exercises, the aspects of breath work and energy flow in the body are explored via some simple qigong movements. As there are many styles and types of qigong, some will be discussed and others will be practised during the workshop. To round off the day, there will be guided meditation and visualisation exercises designed to pull together all of the positive health and relaxation aspects of the day. A Qigong workshop is an enriching experience that will leave you with a feel-good factor that will last for weeks. This workshop is a must for people who wish to explore the benefits of Qigong for the first time or who wish to revisit some of the essential principles of healing and deep relaxation. One-day workshops may be arranged for an individual doing the workshop on a one-to-one basis or for a group of up to four people booking together for a group workshop.

At Therapy Training School
One-day Workshops are delivered at our premises in Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. The workshop times are 10.00am - 5.00pm. Training dates by arrangement.

In London
Our workshops are now delivered from various locations in London.

At your premises in the UK
One-day Workshops may be delivered at your premises in the UK by arrangement. Costs are dependant upon number of participants and travel distance.

Abroad
One-day Workshops may be delivered at your premises anywhere in the world by arrangement. Costs are dependant upon number of participants. Airfares, transport, accommodation and food for the tutor would be included in the cost.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the client to obtain permission as required from government agencies and appropriate insurance cover for the day(s).
